Kraja
Here you will find a tavern with hotel rooms, cabins and camping. A restaurant with a stunning lake view and conference facilities. During the summer Kraja is a campground with many activities and a large outdoor pool. Kraja was built I 1869 by the lumberjacks “Finn-Anders” and “Finn-Samuel”. The building that were both doctorial- and foresters resident became a rest-home for infirm senior and stayed like that until 1925.
Arjeplog municipality took over in 1956 and Kraja became a hostel and the cabins started to be built. On the New Year 1977 the redevelopment of Kraja started and it open to the public the same year. The restaurant was added in 1982. Hotel Silverhatten bought kraja and still owns it. We have tried to keep the rustic environment that where created in 1800.
